Purpose:

The intent of the Colorado Organization for the Advancement of Diverse Scholars in Science is to provide undergraduate students, post-Baccs, and/or students in transition to other programs/careers, a platform to meet successful professionals in the STEM fields. Please join us to participate, network, and learn more about science and other opportunities.

Friday December 6th - North Class Building 1214. - Special Seminar

We are proud to announce the visit of Prof. May Khanna from the University of Arizona. She is scheduled to give a short seminar on her experience and pathway to academia as well as the research projects in which she is involved.

Wednesday, April 18 - CU Building Rm 470. - High School Visits CU Denver

A total of 50 students will visit the Department of Chemistry at CU Denver! Special talks from K-12 Outreach will be combined with tours to the chemistry research laboratories to promote the pursue of careers in STEM.

Wednesday, November 8 and 15 - Science Building Rm 4128. - High School Visits CU Denver

A total of 150 students will visit the Department of Chemistry at CU Denver! Special talks from K-12 Outreach and the Department of Bioengineering will be combined with tours to the chemistry research laboratories to promote the pursue of careers in STEM.

Thursday, September 22nd- Science Building Rm. 1067 - 5-6 pm - Pizza and Drinks!

We are proud to announce the visit of Dr. Alexander Buitrago Santanilla from GlaxoSmithKline. He is scheduled to give a short seminar on his experience and pathway to industry as well as the research projects in which he has been involved.

Our first event of the year highlights the visit of Prof. Alejandro Bugarin from UT Arlington. He is scheduled to give a short seminar on his experience and pathway to academia followed by a brief description of the research carried out in his group.
